Rev. David Rorie
As an elder in the United Methodist Church, Pastor David Rorie has been appointed to serve as clergy to Bunker Hill United Methodist Church by the bishop of the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Pastor Rorie has been the pastor of Bunker Hill UMC since 2008. He is a native North Carolinian, a graduate of Pfeiffer College and the Vanderbilt Divinity School. He is in his 35th year of ministry, having several previous pastorates with service records of 2 years, 4 years, 5 years and 13 years. Pastor Rorie believes that the church is at its best when people feel as though they are a part of a family.
David and his wife Ann have been married since 1982. They have two adult daughters and one grandchild.
Director of Christian Education
As the Director of Christian Education, Andrea serves our family and nurture ministries at Bunker Hill UMC. Andrea works across all of the generational levels at Bunker Hill UMC to ensure that the spiritual development of the congregation is met.
Andrea has served as a Christian Educator, Director of Ministries with Youth and Adults, and Youth Minister in local United Methodist churches for over 11 years. She graduated ‘thank the Laude’ from Greensboro College, majoring in both History and Religion. She currently attends the Wake Forest University School of Divinity in the Class of 2021! Connecting children, youth, and adults with the stories of God and what those stories mean to their personal spiritual development, coupled with spreading the love of God throughout the community is her lifelong passion.
She also enjoys reading, Netflix, and chasing after her 15 year old son, Jacob.
